Welcome to Blowsoc!

The home of woodwind, brass & percussion at the University of Nottingham

Blowsoc is a large student-run music society that gives wind, brass and percussion players the chance to join a wide range of ensembles. From Double Reed Ensemble to the Moonlighters big band, we cater for all interests and abilities. Blowsoc puts on a number of concerts throughout the university year, including including our ever-popular (and free) lunch time concerts and a Christmas Extravaganza. We also organise many social events, including a Christmas dinner and an end of year ball, not to mention the hotly contested Blowsoc versus Mussoc football matches. Just in case that's not enough, there is also a yearly tour to Europe; this year, it's Vienna!
