Welcome to Blowsoc! |
The home of woodwind, brass & percussion at the University of Nottingham
Blowsoc is a large student-run music society that gives wind, brass and percussion players the chance to join a wide range of ensembles. From Double Reed Ensemble to the Moonlighters big band, we cater for all interests and abilities. Blowsoc puts on a number of concerts throughout the university year, including including our ever-popular (and free) lunch time concerts and a Christmas Extravaganza. We also organise many social events, including a Christmas dinner and an end of year ball, not to mention the hotly contested Blowsoc versus Mussoc football matches. Just in case that's not enough, there is also a yearly tour to Europe; this year, it's Vienna! |
Grade-One-A-Thon Free Charity Lunchtime Concert Tuesday 9th March, 1:15pm Djanogly Recital Hall |
Blowsoc is able to provide small groups to perform at functions and events. For more details, please contact the President Mim Etchells. To book Moonlighters big band, please contact Rosie Partington. |
